Cerro Chapeu, Rivera, Uruguay. 250 meters above sea level. Continental climate with great thermal amplitude.

Soils of alluvial origin from volcanic materials washed over millions of years that formed very deep reddish sediments rich in iron, with great depth and increased drainage.

Winemaking

The bunches are determined on stainless steel tanks, then spontaneous fermentation begins slowly at 20°C. These conditions favor the growth of various native yeasts, resulting in greater body and aromatic complexity.

Aging

After 10 days of fermentation, the wine is aged in second-use oak barrels in contact with the yeasts for 12 months.

Nose

Offers aromas of red and black fruits, including plum, along with characteristic spices.

Palate

Aged for 12 months in used barrels, the wine presents a balanced and typical Tannat profile with well-integrated tannins.
