Juicy and fresh, with a touch of herbal undertones, this Malbec was harvested and fermented in the spirit of a lighter fresher red wine. Made entirely in stainless steel and with limited skin contact, the wine retains an expression of fruit, place, and vintage, without the distraction of oak.
Growing Conditions
Hot and Dry.
Harvest
Grapes were sourced from the Upper
Plains block of Mount Juliet Vineyards.
Winemaking
80% of the grapes were destemmed
and combined with 20% whole cluster
before fermenting spontaneously. After
only a few days the fermenting grapes
are pressed and the must transferred to
stainless steel.
Aging
Following fermentation, the wine aged 5 months
on all lees before bottling in April.
